I really want to get Rosetta Stone, because I really need to learn my language. I practice [Spanish], but I can understand it better than I can speak it. So in a lot of my interviews that I did recently, they would speak to me in Spanish and I would answer back in English. They were like, ‘You pick it up so easily,’ but I don’t want to say it in Spanish because I’d be embarrassed if I mess something up.’
What she’s looking for in a boyfriend: ‘You never really know when you’re in love at this age. I don’t know what love is. I would like someone who is not cool and who is really fun to be around and loves family and has good morals.’
On her best friend: ‘My cousin Priscilla [Deleon] is as close to a sister as I’m going to get. She’s going to be my Maid of Honor when I get married, and I’m going to be hers. I have really good friends in the business and really good friends that are not in the business. I think it’s healthy to have people you relate to and then people who don’t care about blogging and all of the celebrity crap.’

It’s only August, but Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez already knows what she wants for Christmas.“I really want to get Rosetta Stone, because I really need to learn my language,” the 18-year-old dished to Latina.com while she was in New York City promoting her new film Ramona & Beezus. Gomez—who is Italian on her mother’s side and Mexican on her father’s side—loves her fellow Latinos, but admits she occasionally experiences trepidation at Latin awards shows because she’s not entirely confident in her language skills.
“I practice [Spanish], but I can understand it better than I can speak it,” explains Selena. “So in a lot of my interviews that I did recently, they would speak to me in Spanish and I would answer back in English. Like Jessica Alba, and other A-list Latinas before her, Gomez says she doesn’t think you have to speak Spanish fluently to be a “real” Latina. “At first I did,” she admits, “but then I started to see all these people that accepted me regardless of the fact that I didn’t speak it.”

Wizards Of Waverly Place cast took home an Emmy for the show once again! This Emmy award was rewarded for the best Children’s TV Program. Wizards Of Waverly Place the show AND Wizards Of Waverly Place The Movie was both nominated and the movie took the win this year! So this mean that for the last two years, the Wizards Of Waverly Place cast has worked extremely hard to make the show what it is! I just want to lend a huge congratulations to the crew of the show and movie! They totally deserve it two years in a row! Romeo Miller, Hollywood’s next leading man is not only celebrating his 21st birthday, he’s bringing awareness and raising funds for children with cancer. Romeo says, “Now that I’m a man, I realize that life is not about how much money you make or the material things you acquire. Life is about love, loving your family, loving others, and loving God by helping others in need. It’s not about what you have but what you do with what you have that matters and that’s why I give.” Romeo recently visited kids with cancer at Children’s Hospital. “There are so many young minority kids with cancer that can’t afford treatment,” he continued. Romeo has teamed up with CureForKidsCancer.org where they provide emotional support for parents, siblings and oncology patients, linking children and families with similar diagnoses and solutions. The program provides fun activities in addition to financial resources for children with cancer and their families. Disney Channel star Selena Gomez has a new album coming out entitled “A Day Without Rain,” but contrary to popular belief it will not contain any tracks working alongside Demi Lovato.At the premiere for “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” on Wednesday, Demi denied to MTV News that she had worked with the “Wizards of Waverly Place” on her album. On the other hand, she also said that she would not be against working with her at some time in the future.Selena’s new album also has rumored collaborations with Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus, even though these team-ups are not exactly confirmed, either.
